A Chartered Structural Engineer, Hugh has outstanding industry knowledge and is highly respected by his peers. |  Alex Goodfellow Group Managing Director - Timber Systems UK Alex was appointed to the Stewart Milne Group Main Board as Group Managing Director - Stewart Milne Timber Systems UK in August 2011. He has over 25 years experience in the sector, starting his career with Walker Homes before becoming Chief Architect at Beazer Homes. He spent two years with Stewart Milne Homes before joining Stewart Milne Timber Systems, becoming Technical Director and later Managing Director for 5 years, where he led the Scottish timber frame industry into large panel safe crane erection which is now the industry norm. In 2006 he was appointed Managing Director of Stewart Milne Homes Central Scotland where he has spearheaded development growth and delivered business improvement over the past 5 years. | David Nimmo Technical & Construction Director Having served an apprenticeship in joinery and then graduating with an Honours Degree in Building Engineering & Management, David joined Timber Systems in 1997. He has since focused his career in Timber Frame technology. In that time he’s assisted many of our clients’ projects across the UK through his project management, commercial and timber frame technical expertise. David joined the Board in October 2007 with responsibility for the Planning, Timber Frame erection and Commercial functions. | Gary Yeoman Sales & Marketing Director Gary has been in the timber frame and housebuilding industries for over 20 years. He’s held various technical, development and sales positions. This is his second spell with the Stewart Milne Group. Gary has extensive timber frame knowledge, and is responsible for developing the divisional Sales & Marketing strategy. |
Paul Smollett Commercial Director Having worked in the construction industry for over 30 years, Paul brings with him wide ranging construction experience and expertise. His focus For the last ten years has been the development of specialist Sub Contract products for sustainability and off-site construction. Paul has held various senior commercial roles within national house builders and specialist contractors and joined Stewart Milne in 2010 as Commercial Director. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building, which he joined in 1992. |  Mark Taylor Manufacturing Director Mark joined Stewart Milne Timber Systems in March 2010 as Manufacturing Director and comes with a strong background and knowledge of over 20 years manufacturing experience predominantly within the automotive manufacturing sector. Mark has also held several senior contract posts delivering specialist client projects within the electronics and aerospace manufacturing industries and has a range of expertise and skills in lean manufacturing, project management, supply chain management and Total Quality Management. These skills and experiences will embrace our committed management approach to long term success through exceeding our customers expectation by continually improving the quality of our processes and products. | Graeme Guy Business Development Manager - NW England & Yorkshire Graeme, who joined SMTS in September 2009, has worked in the "New Housing" market for twenty years predominantly in the Timber Frame Erect Sector. He possesses a vast technical and operations experience through his previous role as Managing Director of a Timber Frame Erecting Company. Graeme is the Business Development Manager for the North West of England and the M62 corridor. | Paul Tappin Business Development Manager - West/South West England & Wales Paul joined Stewart Milne Timber Systems in September 2010 bringing with him 28 years of construction industry experience, the last 13 of which has been in the Timber Frame Industry. Paul has extensive technical knowledge in timber frame construction having held positions in technical, contracts and timber frame erection disciplines. Paul is the Business Development Manager for Wales and the West and South West of England. |

Gary Stewart Milne, he’s has progressed from a Project Management role to that of Regional Sales Manager. Based at Tannochside in Glasgow, Gary has extensive technical timber frame knowledge and is responsible for developing new business opportunities in North, Central and East Scotland. | Cameron Scott Business Development Manager - Scotland Cameron has worked within the construction industry for 20 years, predominately with wood based products and has held various technical, sales and development positions. He’s gained an extensive knowledge in off-site fabrication working with various build systems in estimating, production and construction. Cameron is based at Tannochside, Glasgow and is responsible for developing new business opportunities in Scotland. | Brett Townsend Business Development Manager - SE England Brett has worked in the construction industry of over 20 years and joined Stewart Milne Timber Systems in 2005. Based at our offices in Witney, Brett is the Business Development Manager for the South East corner of the country. He has gained extensive knowledge due to his experiences at senior managerial levels in the aluminium systems and roofing sectors of the construction sector. | Debi Lama Business Development Manager - Central & South England Debi has over 15 years experience in the house building industry and has been in her current role since 2005. Debi has a strong technical knowledge and an excellent understanding of the complete timber frame process. Debi is the Business Development Manager for central and South of England. |
