Stewart Milne Timber Systems targets growth in London and East of England with appointment of business development manager

Stewart Milne Timber Systems, the UK’s leading designer and manufacturer of offsite timber systems, is responding to growing demand for offsite construction with the appointment of a new business development manager for London and the East of England.

Peter Keogh will bring more than 17 years’ experience in the timber frame construction industry to the role. He started his career working as a house designer before moving into technical sales management.

The creation of the new role is the company’s latest investment in its sales and business development team as the UK construction industry continues to move to offsite construction solutions with timber frame to meet cost, time and capacity targets. It recently appointed a new sales director to lead the business development team and develop the company’s sales strategy.

Stewart Milne Timber Systems sales director, Mike Perry, said: “We are seeing growth across a number of our key markets sectors, including private housing, social housing and commercial developments with London and the East of England being key growth regions. The Government’s focus on delivering new homes faster and the continuing challenges hampering traditional building methods across industry – including skills and materials shortages – are creating significant new opportunities for us.

“Peter’s proven abilities in sales, design and technical roles make him an excellent fit for our growing team and reflect the holistic service we provide to our clients, ensuring that our solutions fit their specific project requirements,” said Mr Perry.

Peter Keogh said: “Stewart Milne Timber Systems is highly regarded across the industry and is at the forefront of innovation for timber frame offsite construction. This is a very exciting period for the business with great potential for growth as the UK construction industry has to modernise and embrace the proven benefits that timber frame solutions can deliver.”
