| Stewart Milne Timber Systems, the UK’s leading provider of timber frame building solutions, is celebrating another accolade after its award-winning Sigma II Build System achieved certification from the British Board of Agrément (BBA). Following a rigorous assessment process examining the build system, its manufacture and installation, the BBA awarded Stewart Milne Timber Systems with an Agrément Certificate which is widely recognised as the UK’s gold standard of product or system approval. As well as general features, assessments also focus on products’ technical performance and ability to meet relevant building regulations and other standards, such as the Code for Sustainable Homes. After thorough analysis, the Sigma II Build System was found to excel in a number of areas including thermal performance and simplicity, plus onsite speed and efficiency of installation. Commenting on the certification, Gary Yeoman, sales and marketing director of Stewart Milne Timber Systems, said: “In meeting the needs of our customers, innovation is at the heart of what we do and the Sigma II Build System is the result of extensive R&D, technical expertise and a lot of hard work. It’s fantastic for these efforts to be recognised by an authority like the BBA and the accreditation is testament to the quality and performance potential of the build system. The Sigma II Build System is already in use in numerous housing and low carbon projects across the UK, including the pioneering AIMC4 initiative and SSE’s (Scottish and Southern Energy) Code Level 6 ‘Greenwatt Way’ development, and is ready to be rolled out for any public or private sector projects requiring a robust, practical, cost effective and flexible build solution. |
